    Could someone explain to me the statement from the challenge:
    side length = 3 -> shortest distance = 6
    I think if the side length = 3, the shortest distance should be: 3*sqrt(2)+3 = 7.24264068712

    lets just say that the line you need to find is not on any rib of the cube. try to find another way cause its possible.

    Why do you think that should be 7.2, Or in other words explain why: 3*sqrt(2)+3
    If I understand the formular I can may point out what your error is.

    3*sqrt(2) is the length of the diagonal of one of the squares, 3 is the side length of the cube Smile .

    are you sure that's the SHORTEST? pretend 2 sides of the cube are a larger rectangle instead of 2 squares. that should be good enough to get you started.

    I have found a shorter path: 3*sqrt(5) = 6.7 but its nearest whole number is not 6 Sad .

    1. I have no idea how you calculate the sortest distance. You just say: 3*sqrt(5). That could mean anything. Some formular which discibe what you do would be helpfull. I mean it is like when I wrote. I did this: 3*2 = 6 but it is not the answer

    2. I can just repeat the hint from above.
    pretend 2 sides of the cube are a larger rectangle instead of 2 squares.

    3.
    Enter the final number rounded down to the nearest whole number

    In other words. 6.7 would become 6
