    Don't know if I am super noob or what..
    I am unable to change the "var" to 8.8.8.8
    It keeps on showing my own ip address.

    if you use firefox:
    right click on the website-> inspect element-> console-> enter "var userip='8.8.8.8';" (without the quotes)

    If you use Chrome, please press Ctrl+Shift+I, then you will get a develop tool. Press the upper right button like ">_", you will get the console to input "var userip = 'x.x.x.x'.
    x = 1 to 254.

    If you use Safari, there is a develop tool, too. If you didn't enable the "Develop" tag on the menu bar, please press command+, to the preference/Advance to check the "show the Develop menu in menu bar". Then, you can use the develop inspector.
